  1. I have version 4:3:1 wordpress however can not find the home page sidebar list like in the tutorial where you select appearances, add page, etc. I tried to publish a new page but it didn’t show up in the top menu? also, I watch another tutorial that showed a ‘customise’ button at the top and I don’t have that?

    1. If you do not see the Homepage Sidebar it may be your theme. Which sidebars you have as options are specific to your theme. I did not understand when you said “like in the tutorial where you select appearances, add page, etc.”. Sidebars are found via Appearance>Widgets. They are really called Widget Areas.

If you published a page and it did not show up in the top menu than perhaps you have a custom menu already created? Go to Appearance>Menus and see what you have their. Watch the video I have on Menus and it will show you how to create them and edit them. It you have custom menus working via the Appearance>Menus, then when you publish a page you will need to go to that Menus page and add the page where you want. (There is a tick box that allows top level menu items to be automatically added when you create them but I think it is not ticked by default.)

I can consult by the half hour if you want custom help over the phone. Just let me know. Good luck.

  2. Hello David,

I upgrade my site in WP to new version and for some reason or another where you put your texts in edit areas for texts the “VIEW” is not shown but only the HTML. How do I get my VIEW button back? I hope this makes since?! Email me please.

    I need help David!!

    Thanks, David

    1. In your admin area, go to Users>Your Profile and the first option is a tick box for the Visual Editor. Untick that box that says: “Disable the visual editor when writing”. Save your changes with the blue button at bottom of the page.
